Question: When should I take a Food Tour in Athens during my trip?

We recommend those visiting Athens to take our food tours during the beginning of your stay which can help you understand our local culture better, allowing you to explore the rest of the city with greater confidence. Moreover, our participants tend to revisit the tasting locations.

Question: Where do the tours and activities start?

The exact location of your meeting point for your walking food tours will be provided immediately upon booking.

Question: Can I just show up at a Food Tour or I need to pre-book a tour?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept last-minute Foodie participants. In order to allow enough time for us to work with our eateries to prepare tasting for you, bookings have to be done in advanced, at least 24hours before a food tour.

Question: Are there bathrooms available?

Yes, bathrooms are available at several of the food tasting locations.

Question: Can I Book a private tour?

Yes. Please look for Secret Athens Food tour: Gourmet. If you’re interested in reserving a private tour, please send us a request at least 24hours in advance.

Gratuities are not included in your booking price and they are always greatly appreciated.

Question: How much walking is there?

Although our culinary experiences are designed to be easy for anyone, there is a fair bit of slow-paced walking. Comfortable, walking shoes are a must, occasionally we may walk on wet or slippery pavements, please refrain from wearing flipflops.

Athens can get hot, please make sure you wear a hat and sunglasses make for a more pleasant experience when walking under the hot midday sun. Wear comfortable shoes, no matter how you are spending time with us.
